Press and News – Air pollution may be key contributor to Covid-19 deaths

Regions of the world which have higher air pollution tended to experience more deaths from Covid-19, a new study has found. Geoscientist Yaron Ogen, from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, examined data from satellites which track nitrogen dioxide in the air, a known pollutant which causes respiratory problems. Dr Ogen then compared places which had been recorded as having high levels of nitrogen dioxide by a European Space Agency satellite in January and February with data on the numbers of people dying from the coronavirus. There was a clear correlation between the two, the researcher wrote in an article published in the journal Science of the Total Environment. Article published in the journal Science of the Total Environment.

Statement “Since the novel coronavirus also affects the respiratory tract, it is reasonable to assume that there might be a correlation between air pollution and the number of deaths from Covid-19″.

CAT5

Clean Air Technology International Ltd producers and distributers of CAT5 are currently lobbying authorities, local councils and the governments in a number of countries in the benefits of using our product, which reduces emissions by up to a proven 80%, although it will not totally solve the issues it will give a simple cost effective solution
to retaining a reduction in emissions.

Mark Duffy, Director of Clean Air Technology International Ltd, stated, “We should encourage government &; councils to look at all options to retain the decrease of emissions while other sustainable solutions are proven and put into place. We are seeing estimates of 2050 before solutions are developed, tried and tested; we have CAT5 is ready and available that will reduce emissions”

Why would you not want to reduce emissions and save money?

This low cost simple to use product will finance itself and leave you with profits from fuel savings.

Old London Black Cab Trials.

CAT5 - The simple to use Catalyst solution

Old London Black Cab Trials.

By Jim Wright, Proof of Concept and Sales consultant

CAT5: Trialled on a Black London Cab that had over 500,000 miles on the clock; produced amazing results for fuel consumption and a reduction of emissions. The team at Clean Air Technology International Ltd purchased an old London Cab to see the effects  CAT5 on the vehicle. They have collected data and evidenced some fantastic results. From April 2019 to November 2019 showing an improvement on MPG from 25.83 MPG to 27.52 MPG and an impressive reduction of 85% on emissions from smoke tests.

Statement from Andy Preston Director of Core & CATIL in Leeds

Quote: ‘Over the course of just over two months and less than 1300 miles from the introduction of CAT5 I saw the Smoke Test reading reduce from 0.07 to 0.01 a reduction of 85%. Similarly, an increase of 6.5% in fuel economy, rising from 25.83mpg to 27.52mpg. Bearing in mind that these results were achieved on a London Black Cab which has now done approaching 600,000 miles, I was very impressed’

CAT5 is unlike other fuel additives in that it uses the power of catalysts to deliver improvements in fuel economy and reduced emissions, CAT5 contains catalysts in an organic carrier that is added to fuel.

Here’s how it works: The catalyst operates in the combustion chamber to reduce energy lost in the fuel combustion process, thereby increasing work output per unit of fuel consumed therefore reducing emissions and harmful gasses.

The catalysts used were carefully chosen and balanced in terms of chemical reactivity and the amount present in CAT5, with the result being a blend that works together to reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions.

COVID-19: Pollution levels fall ‘dramatically’

It is being reported on news and logistics channels that city views once covered in smog are clearer and air pollution has fallen dramatically. As a result of the restrictions on movement, the average air pollution levels have fallen to their lowest since recordings began in 2000 by more than 20% according to the London Air Quality Network.

Letter from Queensland Government. Department of Transport and Main Roads.

from Neil Scales, Director-General, Department of Transport and Main Roads

Dear Mr Wright,

I refer to your email of 12 February 2020 to the Honourable Mark Bailey MP, Minister for Transport and Main Roads, about reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency. The Minister has asked that I respond on his behalf.

As you know, the transport sector has a challenge ahead to reduce vehicle emissions. The Palaszczuk Government has a target of net zero emissions by 2050 and is encouraging the uptake of low and zero emission vehicles through the Future is Electric Queenslands Electric Vehicle Strategy and the Queensland Hydrogen Industry Strategy.

I noted with interest the information provided by you about the CAT5 additive product. It is encouraging to hear trials are happening using this additive in internal combustion engines. The product could provide a transitioning additive to diesel and petrol engines as we move towards a clean energy future

I encourage you to seek interest from industry in Queensland for the CAT5 product, particularly the heavy vehicle industry, to help reduce emissions and improve efficiency in the transport sector

Again, thank you for contacting the Minister for Transport and Main Roads about the CAT5 product .

Yours sincerely

Neil Scales
