At Clean Air Technology International, we have the solution in reducing emissions by up to 80%, which is cost-effective and easy to use. Clean Air Technology International Ltd, a British owned company, has developed CAT5 which is manufactured in Goole, Uk. We have been developing and working on the catalyst project for several years and have proven results and data regarding the simple to use, cost-effective solution in reducing harmful emissions.

CAT5 has been tried and tested in HGV vehicles, cars, vans, mining, shipping, construction equipment of all types, farmland and agricultural equipment and has consistently shown a reduction of harmful emissions by up to 80%. Furthermore, it has also shown improved fuel consumption in the region of 6 – 12 %.

The catalyst is currently being used in South Africa in mining, and in Rotterdam on large inland shipping carriers, with results (produced and verified by the University of Rotterdam), demonstrating an improvement of emissions between 70 – 80 %. Trials are currently being  undertaken in Australia, and we are in discussions with the Western Australian government,  the Inspectorate for Mining and a global mining company based in Australia.

Innospec, a world leader in the manufacture and sales of fuel additives,  tested CAT5 under its original product name. The tests performed were industry standard “No Harm” tests and showed no detrimental effects on engine components or fuel delivery systems , but continued improvements in fuel economy and exhaust emissions such as NOx, CO, CO2, and Particulates.

Government to set legally binding air quality targets

Government to set legally binding air quality targets

The UK government is planning to set new air quality targets under its Environment Bill, to help reduce public exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5). The UK currently falls short of World Health Organisation recommended limits of PM 2.5’s, which are produced by vehicle engines and are known to damage the lungs and heart.

The government has said that it is fully committed to tackling air pollution and that is independent of being a member of the EU. The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) long-term targets are supported by interim targets to ensure the UK stays on track with the Government’s five-year trajectory.

Statement from; George Eustice, Environment Secretary, said: “The targets we set under our Environment Bill shall be the driving force behind our bold action to protect and enhance our natural world – guaranteeing real and lasting progress on some of the most significant environmental issues facing us today.

Statement from Clean Air Technology International Ltd.

We have the solution!

Several years of testing have found CAT5 to be a proven, cost-effective approach to reducing emissions from a wide range of engines and applications, and has been proven to not harm the fuel system. Furthermore, diesel containing CAT5 remains within its standard specification. Additionally, the application of CAT5 does not require any changes made to an engine’s hardware or software, or the fitting of any additional equipment to the vehicle.

Testing on a range of different engines,  under both laboratory and live conditions in various countries, have all recorded a range of improvements in fuel consumption and reductions in emissions. The scope of enhancements is significant, outstanding, and impressive.

How it works

CAT5 is the name given to an innovative catalytic fuel additive that reduces emissions and improves energy release in the combustion process in a diesel engine. Tests on a range of machines of diverse sizes, varying Euro emissions standards, in different conditions, with other operating profiles, and from various manufacturers, have all recorded reductions in emissions improvements in fuel consumption.

As a solution, CAT5 has many advantages. It is proven to be highly effective, cash positive to the end-user,  can be widely applied and is a solution to our growing emissions issues, not only in the UK globally.

Red Fuel Rebate ends

Red Fuel Rebate ends

Are you aware that we are a little over 18 months away from HMRC’s withdrawal of the current rebate on red diesel for use in refrigerated transport? When this happens, the impact on fridge operators shall be an overnight increase in diesel prices of around 100%,”

The net effect on our transport operations;

Currently, the Red diesel attracts duty at 11p per litre. When this ends, it shall increase to the current HRMC white diesel level of 0.57.p per litre planned in April 2022. This significant increase of around 0.46p per litre can add many hundreds if not thousands of pounds extra cost, per year

As transport operators that use fridge units on trailers are you prepared?

Do you have an action plan?

Can you mitigate the extra cost without passing it on to an already hard-hit Profit and Loss account.

At Clean Air Technology international, we have a simple, cost-effective solution, CAT5.

Why would you not want to reduce emissions and save money, this low cost simple to use the product shall finance itself and leave you with profits from fuel savings?

CAT5 is unlike other fuel additives in that it uses the power of catalysts to deliver improvements in fuel economy and reduced emissions. Using CAT5 can improve your costs and environmental compliance.

CAT5 contain catalysts in an organic carrier that is added to fuel.  Here’s how it works: The catalysts operate in the combustion chamber to reduce energy lost in the fuel combustion process, thereby increasing work output per unit of fuel consumed.

Other parts of the catalysts operate in the exhaust system to reduce harmful emissions by chemically changing them via reduction reactions to non-toxic forms.

The catalysts used were carefully chosen and balanced in terms of chemical activity and their amount present in CAT5, with the result being a blend that works together to reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions.

CAT5 has undergone numerous third-party trials with excellent results.  The range of improvements in fuel economy and reductions in emissions levels illustrated below.

Fuel consumption improvement     3.5% to    15.5%

Carbon Monoxide (CO)     68.8% to    81.4%

Carbon Dioxide CO2)     6% to     8%

Nitric Oxide (NO)     99.4% to     99.6%

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)     54.5% to     58.8%

Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)     22% to     94%

Smoke/Opacity     50% to     89%

Particulate Matter (PM)     47% to     60%

The Product

Several years of testing have found CAT5 to be a proven, cost-effective approach to reducing emissions from a range of engines and applications. It is confirmed that it does not harm the fuel system. Furthermore, diesel containing CAT5 remains within its standard specification.
