E. Carroll Hale IIIInventor
Carroll graduated with a BSc. in Forensic Science, with a concentration in chemistry, and has a minor in Anthropology. He has worked in the environmental industry for over thirty years as a chemist, environmental regulator, researcher, and inventor. He holds multiple intellectual properties in the environmental field, specifically covering Waste Treatment, Animal Agriculture, and Catalytic Fuel Additives. Carroll also has expertise in test methodologies, data analysis, laboratory data validation, and quality control procedures. He has worked extensively with Molescroft Management Ltd. over a period of several years to teach the method of creating CAT5 as well as assisting in scaling production of CAT5 to commercial quantities. He assists the team with his technical expertise.
John DuffyManaging Director
John has varied businesses within his portfolio. These include: Construction / Civil Engineering, Quarrying, Property Development, Construction Materials (Manufacture), Renewable energy – onshore wind and Green Hydrogen, Construction Plant & Fuel Catalyst CAT5 John has been running his own business(es) for some 34 years, having started his first business when I was 19 years old. He currently employs some 250 people, as well as engaging the services of a wide pool of self-employed personnel.
Andy has been involved in running a Plant & Transport division within the civil engineering sector for the last 28 years, with responsibility for the purchasing, maintenance and hiring out of both items of plant and commercial vehicles. This also includes setting and adhering to budgets, whilst at the same time not compromising on vehicle / plant safety standards. Andy is also responsible for all compliance issues, including driver hours and roadworthiness of vehicles. He holds a Certificate of Competence (National Road Haulage Operations). All insurance matters fall within his remit; this includes, but is not limited to, Employers / Public Liability, vehicle fleet and buildings / contents, with sole responsibility of renewal of policies on an annual basis. Andy runs a team of both administrative and technical staff, overseeing all operations within CAT5.
Mark began working for Allied Irish Finance as Regional Sales Representative promoting hire-purchase and leasing to the business sector. He then became director of a ceramic tile retail/importing business, developing and managing sales for 5 retail outlets. In addition, he developed a ceramic tile printing business. Mark also worked in the voluntary sector as a Regional Fundraising Manager for a charity to support the motor industry. He started importing fireplaces from Portugal, developing a distribution business in the North of England, and eventually opened a retail outlet which is now one of the largest independent showrooms in Yorkshire supplying bespoke fireplaces, fires and stoves. Mark has been working with Carroll since 2012 to try and develop the fuel catalyst business, and his role has primarily been one of field support. He is enthusiastic, hardworking, and has a flair for creativity. He also has vast experience of dealing with sales, customer service and running businesses in line with strict budgets and forecasts.
Jim WrightGlobal Sales Director - FCILT
Jim Wright is the director and has 40 years’ service with blue chip companies inclusive of Electrolux, Comet, and ASDA Distribution. Jim worked a senior manager for the last 40 years, the last 17 of which were with ASDA Logistics Services as a Distribution Operations Manager working with large fleets. In that role, Jim was also responsible for compliance with financial and budgetary controls and has been highly successful in maintaining a very high standard of compliance. Jim is also a fully trained disciplinary and grievance manager, is able to evaluate workplace risk, cost savings, control of warehouse planning, and HR functions with a workforce of up to 700 colleagues. H&S Assessment, negotiation with unions and workforce forums. Jim has been responsible for several projects, including a number of fuel trials and the opening of a Home Delivery Centre. He was also on the New Build and Spec Team for trailers and traction as well as integration of new technology (Isotrack on to Microlise) and new planning systems. Jim was responsible for backhaul and front haul fleet utilisation with a backhaul income of circa £1.2million and was instrumental in training assessment and driver processing as well as transport team compliance awareness training and speed awareness courses. Jim has been involved in the trial and proof of concept for the fuel catalyst for the last 9 years, working closely with the team on trials in the UK, including presenting and developing the way we present results on the product usage. Jim has also taken the trials to Australia where there are a number of companies currently trialling and interested in CAT5.
